About us

I have taught English as a Foreign Language in London (England) for the past
twenty years both to young people and adults. I have also been training teachers
of English on the Trinity College Certificate in TESOL course since 1991.

There is no shortage of coursebooks on the market, especially here in England,
but there is a shortage of English teaching materials which give detailed teaching
instructions and specific ideas on how to use the resources so that real learning
can take place.

The main strengths of the English by Post Ready Lessons are the comprehensive
teaching notes and the flexibility of the material.

I have been working on the idea of writing teaching materials for the past seven
years. The whole project has very much been achieved with the help of my family.
The idea of the name came from my son, who with his girl friend drew the web
site's logo. My daughter has done all the illustrations in the learning packs. My
husband has done the layout of the material and set up the web site. My
daughter's boyfriend and my son's best friend have also given considerable help
and advice.
